Single stack magazine? Double stack magazine? What does that mean? Look at the magazine from the back and try to imagine what the bullets look like inside. Are they stacked directly on top of each other? If so then you have a single stack magazine. Does it look like the bullets in the mag are stacked in a staggered fashion? Then you have a double stack magazine. Some of the Makarov mags are skinny on top and fat on the bottom, we call those double stacked mags.
